HISTORY

It all began around 6 years ago as several coaches , umpires, parents where sitting at the bar at Ho Chunk during the Fall Ball season. We were just hanging out with Fran watching some baseball and football on the big screen. One thing led to another and after some arm twisting the HO -CHUNKERS FANTASY FOOTBALL league was created.

Many of our participants have been there since we started but we always seem to have get some fresh blood as people come and go.

The league is a 12 team PPR league. The league’s format changes a bit each year as many of the new members have strong opinions on the correct way to run the league.

We do have a SUPERBOWL CHAMPION and then from the losers bracket a “TOILET BOWL CHAMPION” each year.

This page is dedicated to the league which we hope will continue for years to come.

NOTE: SOME OF THE INFO IS MISSING . IF YOU HAVE ANY FACTS OR COMMENTS PLEASE ADD THEM TO THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW AND THEY WILL BE ADDED TO THE WEB PAGE.

Sean was pretty much untouchable this year going 12-1 in the regular season then then winning 3 straight games in the playoffs. His only lose coming in the first game. In addition Sean lead all teams in points scored with a total of 2320 points for the season which was an average score of 145 points per game! PARITY… Not sure if we are at 100% there but 5 games were decided by a  margin from .04 pts to 1.5pts.
The high score this year for one week was 194.9!! Yep Sean Gallagher…

CONGRATULATIONS to our 2017 HoChunkers Super Bowl Champion
TC TERROR/GREG FITCH!! ME SASSY /Kelli Uhter put up a good
fight but Greg & Todd Gurley were just too much to handle. Thanks
to everyone that kept playing and made the entire season competitive & fun.
After an exciting season, the league now has its champion. TC Terror demolished Me Sassy, winning 131.2 to 93.8. That win stopped Me Sassy’s winning streak at three games.
TC Terror ended their triumphant season at 10 – 6. Me Sassy will close
their 2017 campaign at 8 – 8.
Todd Gurley has been coming through for TC Terror all year, and this
week was no different. Gurley was a one-man wrecking crew, notching 51.6 points. He overperformed his expectations by more than any other player.
His performance was also the best of any running back this season.
Meanwhile, Dak Prescott stuck out as the worst performer for Me Sassy,
posting only 7.1 points.1 No other quarterback scored fewer points than
that this week.

A Year in Review

Easy Pickings
Key Stat:

Average Points Scored per Game: 113.3
JohnnyU#19 Opponents per Game: 105.6
All year long, opponents kindly rolled out the red carpet for Coach Tom Seymour and JohnnyU#19.  They had 105.6 points per game scored against them during the regular
season, which was fewer than any other team. The easy schedule takes a bit of the shine
off JohnnyU#19’s 7 – 6 record.

Hot Streak
Key Stat:

Me Sassy Regular Season Wins: 6 Me Sassy Wins During weeks 2-6: 4 As Coach Keli
Uhter looks back on the season, they will no doubt fondly remember weeks 2 to 6
when Me Sassy looked like world-beaters. They went 4 – 1 over that happy stretch.
Dak Prescott was the key, going 18.4 points over his positional average during that
span. Me Sassy wound up
tied for 7th place during the regular season with a 6 – 7 record.

Everyone on the Level
Key Stat:

Chstorm1 Top 3 Players PPA: 55.8
Chstorm1 4-6 Players PPA: 14.6
It was all for one and one for all with Chstorm1 this season, as they ended up with
the most
balanced lineup in the league. Unfortunately, this was more due to their
top players not doing
so well. Jerick McKinnonOdell Beckham, and Dalvin Cook
posted 55.8 Points Vs Positional A
verage (PPA) while in the starting lineup this year,
one of the worst marks in the league. Their
next three best players, Greg Zuerlein,
Chris Boswell, and [http://hochunkers.football.cbssports.com/players/playerpage/1749727]Blake Bortles, finished up at +14.6 PPA.

Eye for Talent
Key Stat:

Average Top 3 Pick PPA: 50.2
TC Terror Top 3 Pick PPA: 182.4
Coach Greg Fitch was on fire in the early rounds of the draft. He picked up
David Johnson,
Rob Gronkowski, and Todd Gurley with his first three picks, and they
paid off, putting up
better production than any other team’s top picks (+182.4 Points vs. Position Average). Those top picks helped give TC Terror a 7 – 6 regular season record.

At Least He Couldn’t be Worse
Key Stat for Feeling Lucky:

Average Wide Receiver Points Per Game: 13.1
Emmanuel Sanders Points Per Game Started: 8.2

Emmanuel Sanders stunk it up so badly that Feeling Lucky will have to shower all
off season
to get off the stink. Sanders was the worst player in the league, scoring
45.6 points less than
the average wide receiver while in the starting lineup. One of
Sanders’ worst games came in
week 16, when he laid a goose egg. Despite his
performance this year, Feeling Lucky finished
the regular season with a 10 – 3 record.

You’ve Got a ‘Tell’
Key Stat for DaBears:

Record When Melvin Gordon Overperforms: 5 – 2
Record When Melvin Gordon Underperforms: 2 – 6
There was no better indicator of DaBears’ fortunes this year than the performance
of Melvin Gordon. DaBears looked hopeless when Gordon failed to hit his projections,
and totally legit when he did.
Coaches Michael Denton and Michael Denton II could
have used a lot more good efforts from
Gordon, as they closed the season at 7 – 9.

Stacked
Key Stat:

Average RB Points/Week: 30.6
No Flex Zone RB Points/Week: 37.3
No Flex Zone got big efforts from their running backs, who put up a best-in-the-league
37.26 points
per game. Leonard Fournette was the leader of that pack, scoring 216.6
points for No Flex Zone
this season. No Flex Zone ran their way to a 7 – 6 regular season record.

Is that Don Shula?
Key Stat:

Average Coach’s Points: -7.3
Coach Mark Gallagher’s Points: 88.2
Coach Mark Gallagher can hang their hat on the fact that they were the best gameday
coach in the
league. They gave their team the victory in three different games, including
a week 11 win where
their decisions were 21 points better than the experts that week.
Overall, Bearly Enough finished
in 7th place during the regular season with a record of
6 – 7.

No Chance
Key Stat:

Show Me Dem TD’s: 254.3 points
Got You Smoked: 157.6 points
Show Me Dem TD’s did well this year, but never looked as good as when they played
Got You Smoked. They played Got You Smoked two times, and ended up winning
both games. The cumulative margin of victory, at 96.7 points, represents the largest
spread between any two teams this year.

Not Coachable
Key Stat:Average Coach’s Points: -7.3

Coach Leo Gomez’s Points: -50.1
Coach Gomez have plenty of decisions to regret after their lineup choices left them as the worst gameday coach in the league. They sure distributed those lost points well however,
as they never cost their team a game with their decisions. Got You Smoked wrapped up
the regular season tied for having the 3rd
best record at 7 – 6.

It Couldn’t Be Worse
Key Stat:

Average Team Points per Game (reg. season): 113.3
Mudds Maulers Points per Game (reg. season): 106.4
There’s always next year for Coach Mudd. This year, however, Mudds Maulers wound
up in last place in the overall standings at 4 – 12. The unimpressive finish was partially due to their 11th ranked running
backs.

A Year in Review

Season Recap
Adrian Foster and Eric’s hitmen take the crown When it is all said and done, Coach Eric Duschean will have the bragging rights for this entire offseason. Eric’s hitmen finished off 2014 with a 152.4 to 134.9 victory over Bearly Enough, giving them a 10 – 6 final record. Coach Duschean had a hand in the impressive record, since they were the 4th best
gameday coach in the league.
When it came to coaching though, nobody was better than Coach Fred Eitzen. They stood
out as the best decision-maker this year, giving their squad 40.5 more points than the experts would have. That was 71.2 points better than Coach Kim Giles, who was the worst coach in the league. She ended up costing her team the game in week three with her lineup decisions, which were 21 points worse than the experts that week.
Turning our attention to the draft, it’s clear that Coach Fran Pell hit it out of the park with their first three picks. They picked up Matt ForteAndrew Luck, and Alshon Jeffery, who
put up better production than any other team’s top picks (+222.1 Points vs. Position Average). Coach Eitzen was the mirror image of Coach Pell. Their first three picks were Montee BallGiovani Bernard, and
[http://hoch! Unkers.football.cbssports.com/players/playerpage/420095]Matt Ryan.
Ouch.
TC Terror could sure use the first pick in next year’s draft, as they wound up at 4 – 11, good for the worst record in the league. The fact that TC Terror had the 3rd hardest schedule
this year (measured by points against) certainly had something to do with that.
Did we get your league champion wrong? Make sure it doesn’t happen again by using
our Automated Playoff Management feature.

All in all, there were injuries, surprise standouts and smart waiver moves that certainly
made for an exciting race to the finish. And while Eric’s hitmen may be holding on tightly
to their title as Ho Chunkers champion until next year, Fantasy Football doesn’t have to be over just yet! Playoff Challenge offers one more chance for everyone to compete for a
victory (and a cash prize) this postseason!

Mirror Mirror
Key Stat:

Record When Emmanuel Sanders Overperforms: 5 – 1
Record When Emmanuel Sanders Underperforms: 1 – 5
There was no better indicator of T-Formation‘s fortunes this year than the performance of Emmanuel Sanders. T-Formation looked unstoppable when Sanders topped his projections, and hopeless when he didn’t. Coach Tom Seymour could have used a lot more good efforts from Sanders, as they closed the season at 7 – 7.

Magnificently Mundane
Key Stat:

Average Team Points per Game (reg. season): 121.3
No Flex Zone Points (reg. season): 121.9
No team had a more ‘ho-hum’ season than No Flex Zone. They ended up with 121.9 points per game for the regular season, which was the closest to average of any team in the league. Not surprisingly, that average point total led to a very average 6 – 7 record.

Rod Marinelli Award

Key Stat:
Average Coach’s Points: 8.2
Coach Kim Giles’ Points: -30.7

Coach Giles has plenty of decisions to regret after her lineup choices left her as the worst gameday coach in the league. She ended up costing her team the game in week three with her lineup decisions, which were 21 points worse than the experts that week. That coaching performance goes a long way towards explaining why Giles wound up tied for 8th place during the regular season with a 5 – 8 record.

Stacked

Key Stat:
Average WR Points/Week: 40.7
What The Fu** WR Points/Week: 56.4

What The Fu** got big efforts from their wide receivers, who put up a best-in-the-league 56.4 points per game. Antonio Brown was the key member of that stalwart corps, scoring 316.8 points for What The Fu** this season. Overall, What The Fu** finished in 8th place during the regular season with a record of 5 – 8.

Nobody Does It Better

Key Stat:
Eric’s hitmen: 152.4
Bearly Enough: 134.9

‘There can be only one.’ This season, that was Eric’s hitmen. They finished off 2014 with a 152.4 to 134.9 victory over Bearly Enough, giving them a 10 – 6 final record. Antonio Gates contributed 28.2 points in the big win.

Top Heavy

Key Stat:
DaBears Top 3 Players PPA: 230.2
DaBears 4-6 Players PPA: 53.4

DaBears were the most top-heavy squad in the league this year, with a huge gap between their top three players and their next three best starters. The group of Matt Forte, Andrew Luck, and Martellus Bennett wound up at +230.2 Points Vs Positional Average (PPA) while in the starting lineup this year. Their next three best players, Alshon Jeffery, Kenny Stills, and the Colts Defense/ST, finished up well behind at +53.4 PPA.

Knowing the Role

Key Stat:
Average Tight End Points Per Game: 10.6
Rob Gronkowski Points Per Game Started: 16.7

OvertheRoad leaned on Rob Gronkowski all year, as he was the league’s best tight end, scoring 266.4 points. Gronk’s best game came in week eight, when he put up 41.9 points in a losing effort versus Giles. In part because of his efforts, OvertheRoad wrapped up the regular season tied for having the best record at 9 – 4.

So Close…

Key Stat:
Bearly Enough: 134.9
Eric’s hitmen: 152.4

Bearly Enough came so close and yet were so far, winding up in second place. Their season closed with the sour note of a playoff loss to Eric’s hitmen, but overall they did well enough to end up with a 10 – 5 record. They were led by Jimmy GrahamOdell Beckham, and the Rams Defense/ST, who collectively finished 131.8 points above their positional averages while in the starting lineup.

It Couldn’t Be Worse

Key Stat:
Average Team Points per Game (reg. season): 121.3
TC Terror Points (reg. season): 108.3

There’s always next year for Coach Fitch. This year, however, TC Terror wound up in last place in the overall standings at 4 – 11. Coach Fitch can blame themselves for part of that bad record seeing as they were the 10th ranked gameday coach in the league.

Hot Streak

Key Stat:
LWP Whoop Ass Regular Season Wins: 9

LWP Whoop Ass Wins During weeks 4-11: 7

As Coach Steve Korbel looks back on the season, they will no doubt fondly remember weeks 4 to 11 when LWP Whoop Ass looked like world-beaters. They went 7 – 1 over that happy stretch. Randall Cobb was the key, going 43.9 points over his positional average during that span. LWP Whoop Ass finished up tied for the best regular season record in the league at 9 – 4.

Bully

Key Stat:
Record Vs. Above 0.500 Teams: 0 – 7
Record Vs. Below 0.500 Teams: 5 – 1

Cowboy Fred made their bones beating the dregs of the league, but struggled big time against top competition. Their inability to come through in tough games doomed them to a 5 – 8 regular season record. Their disappointing record certainly cannot be blamed on a lack of good coaching as Coach Fred Eitzen was the best coach in the league.

Falling Down

Key Stat:
Points Per Game Weeks 1 – 8: 133.9
Points Per Game Weeks 9 – 16: 117.6

Back in week eight, Seans Team were one of the favorites to win the title, tied for 1st place. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, as they fell all the way to being tied for 10th place to finish the season with a record of 5 – 8. Pierre Garcon deserves a big chunk of the blame for Seans Team’s ugly record, as he scored 59.7 points less than the average wide receiver while in the starting lineup.
